Indicators of Educational Interpreter Competency
This document, developed by ISLR with the assistance of the ISLR Advisory Committee and ITP instructors in Ohio, suggests how some of the competencies in the Ohio Guidelines for Educational Interpreters could be measured. This documents could be used by a school district for hiring or evaluation purposes, by an interpreter developing a portfolio for a job application or for self-evaluation, by a mentor-mentee to discuss skill and knowledge areas, or by an ITP measuring competencies of their graduates.
