The Student Life at OSD promotes individual student's transition to the maximum potential through education, empowerment, and communication. Our Motto is to enrich the social physical, intellectual, communication, emotional, and spiritual aspects in our students' lives. By balancing all of these essential aspects, our goal is to encourage students to lead well-rounded lives following graduation.

Student Life provides an environment where leadership and self-pride thrive largely due to barrier-free communication. With encouragement, each student is guided to develop emotionally and spiritually to his or her fullest potential. Through a variety of recreational activities, students naturally acquire the essential social skills needed to integrate into the community. Most importantly, the Center for Student Life strongly encourages the students to learn independent living skills collaborating with the transition department in offering basic living skills such as budgeting, laundry, riding the COTA bus, and how to use various resources. The ultimate goal is to ensure that students will utilize learned skills and venture into the real world.
