CENTER for OUTREACH SERVICES
School-Age Outreach
 
The School-Age Outreach program provides assistance to educators working with students who are Deaf and hard-of-hearing in K-12 programs across Ohio. The Center for Outreach Services provides services to students, families and schools using any communication mode, including both visual and auditory methods.

Services

  • Analysis of the classroom environment for visual access
  • Consultation regarding appropriate accommodations and adaptations
  • Demonstration of visual presentation and communication strategies
  • Participation in IEP development upon request
  • Assistance with curriculum alignment
  • Connection to helpful resources
  • Inservices and workshops for educators

Assistance can be provided on-site or via phone, email or videoconference.
