CENTER for OUTREACH SERVICES
School-Age Outreach
The School-Age Outreach program provides assistance to educators working with students who are Deaf and hard-of-hearing in K-12 programs across Ohio. The Center for Outreach Services provides services to students, families and schools using any communication mode, including both visual and auditory methods.
Services
- Analysis of the classroom environment for visual access
- Consultation regarding appropriate accommodations and adaptations
- Demonstration of visual presentation and communication strategies
- Participation in IEP development upon request
- Assistance with curriculum alignment
- Connection to helpful resources
- Inservices and workshops for educators
Assistance can be provided on-site or via phone, email or videoconference.
